We purchased this 5 acre tract of land in 2008 and it's a labor of love. Sure the ground is clay, and won't even grow grass, but it's our little paradise! It's named RockHaven because every where you look you see large rocks, but I feel they find sanctuary here from the hustle and bustle of city life just as we all do. So it's their Haven as well as ours!
I'm Kristy, the farmer, of the family and Jessee is my wonderful city boy husband! He keeps me in check from being too big of a hillbilly while enjoying the yummy healthy food this lifestyle can provide! We have 3 beautiful kiddos who I homeschool. They enjoy all the "pets" and love helping out around the homestead. We have a few raised beds "made from rocks" that we grow as many veggies that we can cram into them. We raise chickens and rabbits and hopefully someday a milk animal.
